“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”
Marilyn Monroe
When I’m writing, sometimes it gets to that place where I feel like the piece is writing itself and I’m trying not to get in the way.
(John Zorn)
“There is a fullness and calmness there which can come only from knowing pain.”
(Dan Simmons, Hyperion)
“I took inspiration from Andy Warhol‘s “Empire,” his “unwatchable” 24-hour film of the Empire State Building. Similarly, imagine a book that is written with the intention not to be read. The book as object: conceptual writing; we’re happy that the idea exists without ever having to open the book.”
(UNCREATIVITY AS A CREATIVE PRACTICE)
“The world is full of objects, more or less interesting; I do not wish to add any more.”
(Kenneth Goldsmith, Uncreative Writing: Managing Language in the Digital Age)
ALEISTER CROWLEY:
(Every man and every woman is a star.)
(I am above you and in you. My ecstasy is in yours. My joy is to see your joy.)
(Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.)
(The ending of the words is the Word Abrahadabra.)
(There is a single main definition of the object of all magical Ritual. It is the uniting of the Microcosm with the Macrocosm.)
(True Will directs the individual towards destiny and forces them into the joy of accomplishing what they were meant to accomplish without “lust of result” (outside motivations).
ALCHEMY (Francisco Goya and Carl Gustav Jung):
(Fantasy, abandoned by reason, produces impossible monsters; united with it, she is the mother of the arts and the origin of marvels.)
(We are so captivated by and entangled in our subjective consciousness that we have forgotten the age-old fact that God speaks chiefly through dreams and visions)
(Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.)
Mysterium coniuctionis. Synchronicity. Unus mundus.
NYMPHOMANIAC:
(Mea Vulva, Mea Maxima Vulva!)
(Joe’s Father: It’s actually the souls of the trees that we see in the winter.)
(Joe: Fill all my holes, please.)
(Joe: Each time a word becomes prohibited, you remove a stone from the Democratic foundation … The human qualities can be expressed in one word: Hypocrisy… By the way, I can assure you that women who claim that negros don’t turn them on, they’re lying)
(Seligman: Freud says the opposite. He talks about the polymorphic perversion of a child.)
(But you… you’ve fucked thousands of men.)
BOOM
L’opera omnia di (b)ananartista rifulge fra i padiglioni della decima edizione del BAF.
Sentori metafisici si sprigionano dalle patafisiche pagine della sua creazione presso la libreria galleria Derbylius.
Roy Lichtenstein, Enrico Baj, Bruno Munari, Mario Schifano, Giorgio De Chirico, Karel Appel e Antoh Mansueto stupefatti spalancano fauci e pennello.
(mentre la lurida odorosa SUMMA dell’erotismo s’innalza).
I’m reading the famous story of Captain Ahab and the white whale.
This masterwork for decades inspired films, radio dramas, cartoons, comic books, a television mini-series, songs, a couple of heavy metal albums, a musical, a music video and a rap rendition.
And now also my art.
“Think not, is my eleventh commandment; and sleep when you can, is my twelfth.”
…
“O Nature, and O soul of man! how far beyond all utterance are your linked analogies; not the smallest atom stirs or lives on matter, but has its cunning duplicate in mind.”
― Herman Melville, Moby-Dick; or, The Whale
