Rhapsody for RUBBER CHICKEN
Inspired by the Hungarian Rhapsodies of Franz Liszt I’ve written this free-form solemn composition.
Though often atonal, highly abstract and dissonant in sound this original work is characterized by energetic toe-tapping rhythms, harmonic complexity and breathtaking melodies.
Moreover as a virtuoso chickenist with this performance I’m bringing new ideas and innovation in the global free jazz scene.

APERITIVO IN CONCERTO al Teatro Manzoni
Domenica 9 Novembre nell’ambito della rassegna “Aperitivo in Concerto (ritmi del nostro tempo)” sono andato al Teatro Manzoni ad ascoltare la leggenda del jazz Charles Lloyd accompagnato da un gruppo di giovani virtuosi: Gerald Clayton al pianoforte, Joe Sanders al contrabbasso, Eric Harland alla batteria e l’apprezzato musicista greco Socratis Sinopoulos alla lyra e al laouto.
Come al solito ho portato i miei colori e durante l’esecuzione della loro lunga, lirica e variegata suite ho creato questo ciclo di opere.
Ho tracciato sulla superficie pittorica la danza cosmica delle forme esplorando ed eternizzando, in maniera visionaria ma estremamente consapovole, la contemporaneità delle loro improvvisazioni.
Di certo non mancherò ai prossimi appuntamenti per farmi ispirare dalle contaminazioni hip hop-blues di Robert Glasper e Jason Moran, dalla bossa nova di Roberto Menescal con la straordinaria cantante brasiliana Wanda Sá o dall’afrobeat degli Zion80 (del chitarrista Jon Madof) con le sperimentazioni di John Zorn e Fela Kuti.
